In March 2022, Outland teamed up with visual artist Rachel Rose to complete the artist’s first NFT work, “L ‘Informe”. This series of intimate and emotional new works includes five detailed digital paintings, all painted by the artist on the iPad.It’s a record of Rose’s inner world as she adjusts to motherhood.Created in 2021, the title borrots French philosopher Georges Bataille’s term for formlessness, a concept art historians have interpreted as a description of how abstract forms are experienced by the mind and body.Rose completed the series while suffering from post-natal depression after the birth of her second child, which began a phase of her career dominated by black-and-white abstract paintings. In this “low point of life”, she completed this new series on the iPad, using painting as a way of meditation and healing. In recent years, Roth, one of the young pillars of contemporary art, has gained attention from curators and critics for his video work that emphasizes the materiality of digital media and uses innovative editing techniques. The five digital works presented in this exhibition are not intended to be painted for others to see or exhibit, but to mark the artist’s personal experience through digital self-exploration and internalization.(Xiaoxue) statement: this article copyright belongs to the original author, if there is a source error or infringement of your legitimate rights and interests, you can contact us through email, we will promptly deal with.Email address:
